Internship in China with Chinese Courses and intercultural training for high school Graduates

The Program "Internship in China for high school Graduates" is a special intercultural training program for high school Graduates. It gives high school Graduates from western countries good opportunity to

• spend the waiting period before university study

• more meaningful gain orientation for occupation and for university study

• get first hand information about business, culture, society and the people of China, a very attractive country with a dynamic economy

• have an intercultural training in in an intercultural setting

• get work experiences to explore potential careers

• gain the necessary Chinese language skills for successful work and living in China

• develop personality and social competence

Specialities of the internship in China

• Orientation internship combines with Chinese learning and intercultural training

• Active Participation as a assistant in international projects

• Establish contacts with relevant Chinese and western enterprises and institutions in China

• The program is organized by the Euro-China Centre for Economic and Technical Cooperation (Aachen, Germany) with support of Chinese and western authorities and enterprises.

• Because of complicated preparing and organizational work and many services, such as business- and intercultural management training, language teaching, accommodation and support during the internship in China, the participants have to pay certain program fees.

• Support and service after the internship, for example, support foroorientation of study or for job seeking..

Places of the Internship in China

• In the most developed regions in China, especially in the province Guangdong, which is near Hong Kong.

Duration and beginning time

• 2 to 12 months. An extension of the internship is possible. 

• The program can begin at almost every time.

Requirements of Applicants

• Be willing to observe the Chinese public and social order

• Be willing to obey the instructions of program trainers and program advisors

• Have completed high school or professional school education

• In good health

• No previous knowledge in Chinese language and no previous business knowledge of China are required.

Chinese Courses

Intercultural training
 

Orientation internship helps the trainees to

• to learn to do some office works and to learn to work as a assistant of the manager

• to gain orientation for occupation and for university study

Accommodation and support during the Internship in China

• Single room with air-conditioning in a shared apartment of the enterprise/institute, in which the internship is conducted.

• Each single room has a bed, desk, chair, and storage area for clothes and personal belongings.

• In the apartment there is a cable TV, internet access, DVD player, telephone, fridge, a living and dining room, bathroom and kitchen (with a fridge, microwave and cooking utensils).

• Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided for trainees everyday in the apartment or in the enterprise/institute, in which the Internship is conducted.
   

Support during the Internship in China

• For each young trainee there are highly qualified program advisors or instructors with years of experience during the internship. They help the young trainees to have a health, safe and successful internship. For girls there is special tuition.

• Support  for orientation of study

• Services and support for family members and friends to visit the trainees during the internship. Family members and friends are welcome to visit the trainees during the internship.

Visiting other areas during the internship

Establishing contacts with

• the relevant Chinese authorities

• Chinese and western enterprises and institutions in China

Free time activities

Free time activities, such as weekend travels, social evenings, on-site study trips and interaction between participants and Chinese are organized throughout the internship.

Certifications after the internship

• The trainees receive the following certifications after internship from the Euro-China Centre and other enterprises/ institutes

• Internship certification

• Work Certification

• Certification of the intercultural training

• Certification of the language skills

Support and service after the internship

After the internship, the Euro-China Centre for Economic and Technical Cooperation gives young trainees further support and assistance for Orientation of study or for China engagement.

• An early application is strongly advised, because this program is individually arranged with intensive care and coaching according to the concrete needs of the single trainee, only a limited number of trainees can be taken up to this program. For the women participants it needs much more preparing and caring.
